Ten people, including eight workers, suffered burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack on a sand-laden truck at Moghirdhal. As the truck reached Moghirdhal around 8:00pm, miscreants hurled petrol bomb at it on Magura-Jessore highway in Sadar upazila on Saturday night, hours after the BNP-led 20-party alliance announced a fresh spell of 72-hour countrywide hartal. Soon after the arson attack, the truck went up in flames, leaving eight workers and the truck driver and his helper severely injured. Four victims of them, who are in critical condition, have suffered 50 to 88 percent burns, added the burns unit doctor.
