The Rana Plaza Anniversary
Today the relatives of the victims with thousands of people gather at the Rana Plaza’ ground zero to commemorate the tragedy that happened one year ago. The Rana Plaza, a eight-storey garment factory collapsed, leaving 1135 people dead, mostly workers. The rescue operations ended on May 31 when dead toll stopped at 1135. Approximately 2500 injured people were rescued from the building alive. More than 100 workers are still missing. Savar, near Dhaka, Bangladesh.
