Bio:
Suvra Kanti Das, born in Chandpur, Bangladesh on 1979, is a visual artist. He spent his childhood at Cox’s Bazar. At the age of 15, he started photography with his cousins small film camera.
After completing his Graduation in Computer science, he was admitted at Pathshala South Asian Media Academy for a BA in Photography on June 2009. During his education period, he also participated in many workshops that were organized by different organizations. In November 2009, he participated in a workshop in Pathshala South Asian Media Academy with the collaboration of the Bjerkely Folkehøyskole, from Norway.
In January 2011, he was qualified to participate in a workshop with the artist Morten Krogvold during the Chobimela VI which is the International Festival of Photography in Bangladesh.
In 2012, he participated in the 3-month workshop “International Reporting Workshop” in India that was organized with the collaboration of the Oslo University College, the Nepal & India Photo Circle the and Pathshala South Asian Institute of Photography, from Bangladesh.
