Alexandros Demetriades has been featured in the Lensblog of the New York Times with his long term work ‘Seeing contrasts along the two sides of Cyprus’ carried out during a 2 year journey around Cyprus.
Photographer Demetriades had the opportunity to travel several times, for a total of 22.000 miles in two years, back and forth from Nicosia, the emblematic capital which itself had been divided as a consequence of the events dated back in 1974.
